I am moving out of the country, how do I receive my pension?
Your pension will continue to be paid no matter where you live. The tax rate for pensions paid to non-residents is 25%. Some countries have tax treaties which will reduce the out of country tax from 25%, to between 0% and 25%. Your pension will be paid in Canadian dollars. A cheque can be mailed to you or we can direct deposit into a bank account in Canada. You will receive an NR4 instead of a T4A for tax purposes.
If you are receiving a pension in US dollars, please contact Pension Services for details.
My spouse and I are currently going through a separation/divorce and I need information on my pension for a possible division of pension assets. How do I go about receiving information on my pension?
Please complete this “Pension Information Request Due to a Marriage Breakdown Form”. We will then send you information on your pension and what the company requirements are for completing a division of pension assets.
